Islands need special attention.

You do not want it to be skinny or out of scale to the rest of the kitchen, nor do you want it to be a nuisance or a bulky unusable object.

Proportions and design are critical depending on your usage and functionality required.

Islands can be great prepping zones, cleaning zones, or cooking zones but above all they should be the hub of the kitchen where everyone meets to enjoy each others company, chat or indulge in a tappa or two or maybe simply just help out, whatever your intention we are at hand to design the perfect setup for your family.

Hoods are a huge consideration, should you be putting a hob in an island if ducting is a problem?
